"We have had food from Alfie's twice now and on both occasions it has been perfect.
"Today we had cod and chips with pea fritter. Such generous portions and cooked to a very high standard. There is hardly any oil and the batter and chips are perfectly crisp. The cod is thick, good quality fish.
"I've never been keen on fish and chips before, but after trying this I've been converted.
"The quality is on another level to any I've tried in the past."

"This is the only fish and chips where I’ve been able to eat the entire thing! The batter is flavoursome and delicate. The chips are perfect. Pea fritters are so, so good. It’s a beautiful meal you’re getting, not just a quick takeaway. We frequently get our kids the children portion and it’s huge. A proper piece of fish too.

"Having been loyal customers of a nearby rival business which had been disappointing on the last two visits, we decided to try Pokesdown Chippy. Wow! What a difference.
"The fish was wonderfully fresh and cooked to perfection, the best we’ve had in years. The chips were great too.
