A WOMAN has been fined for having a knuckle duster in the room of a Bournemouth hotel.
Lyall Warren, aged 20 and of Lichfield Drive, Northampton, appeared before a judge at Poole Magistrates’ Court in relation to the incident on April 9.
Warren was alleged to have had the knuckle duster in the private hotel room at The Suncliff Hotel in East Overcliff Drive, which was subject to section 141 of the Criminal Justice Act relating to offensive weapons.
At the court hearing on April 27, the defendant pleaded guilty to the single charge.
Deputy District Judge Clare Boichot handed Warren a £325 fine. She was ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.
The knuckle duster was to be forfeited and destroyed.
