The mayor of Poole, Councillor Julie Bagwell was in attendance and watched as the parade passed the Baden-Powell statue.

Young people read out statements summing up the message of St George that revealed a large St George’s flag.

During the renewal of promise ceremony, District Commissioner, Ragen Bartaby thanked volunteers for all they do in scouting.

He said: “It’s great to see scouting back in the public after the pandemic.

“Scouting is as strong in Poole as it ever was with numbers returning to pre-pandemic levels, but there is always room for more, but more adult help is needed.”
