DORSET Traffic Cops have been undergoing training this week to support the most vulnerable road users.

Officers have undertaken training to support vehicles that regularly require the assistance of Dorset Traffic Cops, including blue light services, and exceptionally wide, tall, long or heavy vehicles.

The training has taken place in locations across Dorset including Poole, Bournemouth and Bovington, and was conducted under guidance of the driver training team.

Officers completed both practice and real tasks in order to achieve the required learning whilst causing minimal disruption to traffic.

In a Facebook post, Dorset Traffic Cops said: “We thank all motorists for their patience and assistance in doing what we needed to make these movements possible.”
