A MAN has been banned from entering a Tesco store in Poole by the courts.

Billy Holland, aged 48 and of Fraser Road, Poole, was alleged to have committed a public order offence on December 18 last year.

Appearing in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 20, Holland pleaded guilty to with intent to cause a woman harassment, alarm or distress, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour, thereby causing that person or another harassment, alarm or distress.

The defendant was committed to prison for six weeks, suspended for six months.

District Judge Stephen Nicholls imposed a 12-month restraining order, which specified Holland must not to enter Tesco Express, Wallisdown Road.

He was ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
