Sunseekers could be seen making the most of the warm weather on Friday with queues for food and drink along the seafront.
According to the Met Office, the temperature in Bournemouth peaked at 17C.
The Met Office has predicted that there is more good weather to come over the Easter weekend, with temperatures of 15 degrees and sun shine tomorrow.
The Prom Cafe at Pier Approach said: "We've had nearly 500 orders today, it's been really busy and the wait time has been very long, up to an hour. The sun is shining so everyone wants ice cream and fish and chips. It's going to get much busier this summer."
Bus service, City Sightseeing Bournemouth, said: "It's been a lot busier compared to last weekend when it was very quiet. The weather is nice so we've had lots of people on staycation, who are not from around here and the bus has been very busy."
The Garden Deli, in Bournemouth Lower Gardens, said: "It's been busier than it usually is especially for a Friday. The restaurants closest to the beach have been the busiest though because of the good weather."
The sunshine is not expected to last all weekend, temperatures are set to start climbing down again from Sunday, when it will be cloudy and cooler with temperatures of 13 degrees.
