A MAN threatened a Tesco staff member with a knife after he was challenged during an attempted theft.
Police investigating two thefts from a shop have released images of a man they would like to speak to.
On Tuesday, April 5, a man entered Tesco in Shillingstone Drive and filled a basket with items, before leaving the store without paying.
A second incident occurred at around 4.30pm on Thursday, April 7, at the same shop. A man entered the store and filled a basket with items of meat and made attempts to leave without paying.
When challenged by a staff member, the man made threats while in possession of a knife.
He left the shop and is believed to have got into the rear of a small blue car that was parked nearby. Nobody was injured.
Police Constable Greg Johnson, of Bournemouth police, said: “I have been carrying out enquiries into these incidents and am now in a position to issue a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to.
“I would ask anyone with information about his identity to please come forward.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who saw a small blue car parked in Shillingstone Drive around the time of the incident and may have captured it on either home CCTV or dashcam footage.”
