FIRE crews rushed to the scene of a blaze which badly damaged the roof of a house in Bournemouth.
Six crews attended the fire in Corhampton Road on Wednesday afternoon which was also affecting a neighbouring property.
A spokesperson for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a house fire in Corhampton Road, Bournemouth at 1.49pm today – six fire crews were sent, from Christchurch (x2), Westbourne, Springbourne, Redhill Park and Ferndown – together with the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne and a support unit from Hamworthy.
“There was a fire in the roof space, which was also affecting a neighbouring property.
“The stop was at 3.38pm, but five crews remained on scene checking for hot spots and damping down.”
Nobody was injured as a result of the fire and an investigation into the cause was ongoing.
