A THIRD man has been arrested following an alleged serious assault which left a man with serious injuries.

At around 2.45am on Sunday, April 10, officers located a man with injuries at an address in Cunningham Crescent.

The man – aged in his 50s and from Bournemouth – sustained a serious laceration to his wrist and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Following enquiries, it is suspected that the man was assaulted outside in the street in Cunningham Crescent a short time before officers arrived.

On Monday, April 11, a 39-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Previously, a 43-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and a 41-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm.

All three men have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Leo Glendon, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge anyone with information who has not already spoken to police to please come forward.”
