A SECOND man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Boscombe.

Dorset Police received a report at 10.36am on Thursday, April 7, that a man had sustained a stab wound in Argyll Road.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries. Police said his condition is now described as stable and no longer life-threatening.

A 20-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Sunday, April 10, and remains in custody.

A 34-year-old local man previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth CID, said “We are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened and has not yet spoken to officers to please come forward.”
