A DORSET nurse who relies on her car for patient visits, has had it vandalised outside her Poole home as she slept.

Sarah Robbins, a community staff nurse from Poole, woke up on Friday morning to find a brick had been thrown through the windscreen of her vehicle.

The car had been parked outside her house overnight on Clarendon Road in Poole.

The NHS worker told the Daily Echo: “My car is vital for my job. Now I’m having to get picked up and dropped to visits.

“I would’ve used my bike to get around if I had to.

“I’ve booked my car in to be fixed but the soonest it can be done is Friday.

“It’s frustrating because I need to work.”

Bournemouth Echo:

The 36-year-old usually parks her car on the driveway, but workers fixing a gas leak outside the property meant she was forced to park her Audi on the road.

“There’s gas work being done outside the front of our house. The workers said if you need your car over the next few days, you’ll have to park it on the road because you won’t be able to get in and out of your drive.

“So, I parked it outside and when I went to leave for work in the morning, I got a nice surprise.”

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at around 8.15am on Friday April 8 that damage had been caused to a parked vehicle in Clarendon Road in Poole.

“It is reported that a brick was used to damage the windscreen.

“The incident occurred between 10pm on Thursday April 7 and 7am on Friday April 8.

“Enquiries are underway into the report.”
