AN INDEPENDENT entertainment studio is marking the release of its second physical fantasy card game with an event in Bournemouth town centre.

Dorset-based Realm Runner Studios was founded by a group of friends in 2019, who released their first product, Achroma: The Curse of Curdle Hill, in late 2021.

The card game is accompanied by a digital app to help players at the gaming table, allow them to add Achroma cards to their account, unlock rewards and influence the future of the Achroma universe, which sees a dark energy called Achrom spreading across the five realms.

The team at Realm Runner Studios said each realm features a range of characters, cultures and creatures with rich illustrated artwork.

To mark the release of the team’s second product, Achroma: The Siege of Draco Temple, the studio is hosting a gathering at This Workspace in Albert Road, Bournemouth, from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday, April 9.

The event for friends, family and the studio’s growing Discord community will include snacks, refreshments and gaming.

A spokesperson for Realm Runner Studios said: “It's a chance to thank those who have helped us along the way and play some games with the Achroma community.”
