A DRIVER has appeared in the dock after he repeatedly exceeded the posted speed limits on wet roads with deep standing water.

Benjamin Mark Horsford was accused of committing the on the A337 Christchurch Road in New Milton on March 8, 2020.

Court papers stated that he was at the wheel of a Vauxhall Astra and not driving to the conditions of the roads.

Horsford, of Gordon Road, Highcliffe, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention and failing to stop the vehicle when required to do so by a constable in uniform.

The 25-year-old’s case was dealt with at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 5.

He was fined £268 and ordered to pay a £32 surcharge and £90 costs.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.
