Aimee joined the weight loss group during lockdown with her mum Belinda after realising she wanted to make a change.

She said: “I would wake up every morning with my first thought being about my weight.

“I was feeling trapped in my own body. The person in the mirror was hiding in dark, baggy clothes wasn’t the real me and as I result my mood was affected, I felt low, and this drove me to comfort eat.

“I felt alone withdrew from social events as I just never had anything to wear.

“I also suffered with diabetes during pregnancy as well as having high blood sugar levels, so I knew something had to change.”

After her first week, Aimee had lost an impressive five pounds.

“The changes I made were simple just changing a few ingredients and cooking meals from scratch has meant me and my family have found a new love for healthier food.”

A Slimming World consultant Louise Morgan said: “I am so proud of Aimee.

“She’s embraced food optimising fully without ever going hungry or even counting a single calorie.

“It’s great to see her being able to be so much more active with her children and the great news is she is no longer in pain with her knees and is finally happy.”
