A DIVERSION will be in place as a busy Poole road is set to close for five days.

BCP Council has confirmed the Mannings Heath roundabout will be resurfaced over a period of five days, starting at 8am on Monday, April 25.

The roundabout will be closed for the entire period and is not expected to open until 6am on Saturday, April 30.

The A3049 Canford Way will be closed in both directions between the Mannings Heath roundabout and Alderney roundabout.

The A3049 Dorset Way will be closed northbound between the Tower Park roundabout and Mannings Heath roundabout.

The B3074 Canford Heath Road will be closed from the Sherborne Crescent roundabout to Mannings Heath roundabout.

HGVs will be diverted via the B3068 Ringwood Road, B3061 Old Wareham Road  and the A3049 Dorset Way.

Local traffic will be diverted via Yarrow Road, Mannings Heath Road and the B3068 Ringwood Road.

Access to Tower Park will be unaffected, the council confirmed.

Morebus confirmed its Route 6 would not be serving Tower Park during the closure, and passengers should take the 5 or 6 at Sherborne Crescent.
