A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a crash in Boscombe on Thursday morning, March 31. 

The crash, which also involved a car, happened in Derby Road. 

Police were called to the scene at 8.48am and road closures were put in place for around an hour.

The ambulance service also attended.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We received a report at 8.48am of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle in Derby Road in Bournemouth.

“Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and road closures were put in place."

The spokesperson added: "The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening and the road was reopened at around 9.45am.”

Morebus services were affected during the closure with both the M2 and X3 services diverted between Boscombe Gardens and St Swithun's Roundabout via Manor Road in both directions.
