A MOTORIST faces a custodial sentence and lengthy ban after police caught a driver committing a flurry of offences in Wimborne.
While on patrol Dorset Police No Excuse team stopped a motorist in a silver Toyota for being on his phone.
The driver was stopped and was going to be issued with a traffic offence report for the offence of using a mobile phone whilst driving.
However when officers did their usual checks they discovered the driver was infact disqualified from driving for three years.

A spokesperson for the No Excuse team said: "Whilst he attempted to show us a photo of his licence on his phone a certain ‘aroma’ was detected together with the pictures of ‘spliffs’ on his phone lead us to conduct a drug wipe.
"You’ve guessed it, it came back positive for cannabis."
The car was seized and the driver was arrested for drug driving, disqualified driving, using a mobile phone and having no insurance.
He now awaits the results of the blood test and potentially a lengthy ban and also a custodial sentence.
