POLICE say enquiries into the death of a man in a Bournemouth hotel room are “continuing” and a man arrested in connection remains “under investigation”.
As reported, Dorset Police were called to the Laguna Hotel in Suffolk Road at 7.36pm on Friday, February 18, after receiving a report relating to the death of a Bournemouth man aged in his 40s in a room at the hotel.
Officers attended the address and, following enquiries, a local man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and supplying class A drugs. He was later released under investigation.
A police presence remained in place for several days after the incident while initial enquiries were made.
More than a month later, Dorset Police have said there is no substantial update in the case. A spokesperson said: “The investigation is continuing and the arrested man remains released under investigation.”
