EMERGENCY services were scrambled to help an injured climber who had received head and chest injuries falling a fall yesterday.
The climber had been out in the Winspit area near Worth Matravers when they fell several metres on Saturday, March 27.
The casualty was then transferred into the Dorset air ambulance before receiving further treatment.
A spokesperson for Swanage Coastguard said: “The Swanage Coastguard team were tasked to Winspit to support colleagues at St Albans Coastguard and the crew of the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
“The call just before 2pm reported a climber fallen several metres receiving head and chest injuries.
“The coastguard teams assisted in the transfer of the climber to the aircraft supporting the aircrew.”
