A CHEESE making business could be coming to Blandford’s Sunrise Business Park.
Dorset Council has received a planning request for the conversion of a previous bath showroom to the manufacture of organic sheep’s cheese.
The application for unit 4A, which has a floor space of 140square metres, has been submitted by Mr Crispin Tweddell of Woodlands Dairy. It says that the unit has been vacant since December 2020.
A layout plan with the documents shows a production area with a cheese vat, almost a third of the building on the ground floor to be used as storage, with other areas for cutting and packaging.
Most of the first floor of the building would be used for storage and a small office.
The existing six parking spaces would remain.
Public comments on the application, ref no 2022/01706, remain open until April 11th.
