A YOUNG man was punched and kicked in the face in his own home by a gang who stole his personal items in an aggravated burglary in Bournemouth.

It is reported that a group of men forced their way into a residential address  in Westbourne Arcade at around 8.30pm on Wednesday, March 23.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was subjected to an assault – being punched and kicked a number of times.

The offenders stole numerous  items from the address including a games console, mobile phone, clothing, two watches and the victim’s passport and wallet.

The victim sustained cuts to his face and head as well as a chipped tooth.

He did not require hospital treatment.

Police Constable Kate Brew, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are carrying out a detailed investigation into this aggravated burglary and have carried out a number of enquiries so far.

“From these enquiries, we understand there were a number of people in the area around the time of the incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.”
