A RANGE of 25 real ales, including three from overseas brewers, will be available at eight Dorset Wetherspoons as part of a 12-day real ale festival.

Beers will be priced at £2.10 a pint as the festival runs between Wednesday March 30 and Sunday April 10.

As well as featuring a range of different malt and hop varieties from around the world, there are also beers that include cherries, spices and rye in their ingredients.

The festival line-up includes Rooster's Tenderfoot, Sambrook's Tomahawk, Orkney Dragonhead, Terrapin Jazz (USA), Vale Jekyll and Hyde, Birrificio Foglie D'Erba Hot Night at the Village (Italy), Batemans Beast from the East, JW Lees Malt Crush and Young Henrys Real Ale (Australia).

The participating pubs are; The Moon in the Square in Exeter Road and The Mary Shelley in The Quadrant Centre, both in Bournemouth, as well as The Nightjar in Victoria Road, Ferndown; The Parklands and Heatherlands in Wimborne Road, Winton;  The Man in the Wall in West Borough, Wimborne, The Blackwater Stream in Lower Blandford Road, Broadstone; The Lord Wimbourne in Lagland Street and The Quay in The Quay, both in Poole.

The Moon in the Square manager, Terri Balloni, said: "The festival is a great celebration of real ale.
