A DRIVER fled from police through two no entry signs before parking on someone else’s driveway.

Officers from Dorset Traffic Cops seized the vehicle as well as a BMW clocked travelling at 25mph over the 50mph limit in Poole.

A spokesperson for the Dorset Traffic Cops said: “After a significant amount of work done, we were able to shift focus back to enforcement activity with yesterday’s late shift starting off with the BMW X6.

“It was recorded travelling 25mph over the 50mph speed limit on a very well know road in the Poole area but once stopped, we discovered the driver’s licence was revoked after a previous offence in 2019 which in turn invalidated their insurance. The vehicle was seized and driver reported to court.

“After patrols led us into Bournemouth and East Dorset, we returned to Poole to finish our shift where we spotted the black Toyota driving very slowly down a residential road.

“As we pondered what they were doing, this car promptly gained speed and drove off through two no entry signs where we found it parked on someone’s driveway.

“The homeowners had never seen it and as it also wasn’t insured, taxed or MOT’d. We seized it while we conduct enquiries to speak to them.”
