A SAMURAI sword was discovered in a man’s trousers in Poole last week.

Two officers from Poole Police arrived at a bus station on Thursday, March 17, where a man was seen via CCTV with a person he had bail conditions not to see.

They quickly detained the man who was arrested for breaching his bail conditions. However, during a standard search the officers located a small samurai sword like weapon which was located within the suspect’s trousers.

The man was further arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and taken to custody where he was charged and remanded.

A Poole Police spokesperson said: “These weapons do not belong on our streets and we will continue the hard work to remove them and those who carry such items.”
