A MAN has been handed a two-week driving ban after being caught speeding in a van twice on the same day.

Michael Nathan Bolt, 33, was alleged to have driving a Ford Transit on the A30 Innis Downs in Bodmin, Cornwall, on April 20 at a speed exceeding 60mph.

He was also accused of driving the same vehicle above the 60mph limit on the A30 Dunheved Bridge in Launceston, Cornwall.

Bolt, whose address was given as Southcote Road, Bournemouth, did not enter a plea to the two speeding offences.

The cases were proved against him at a Bodmin Magistrates’ Court on January 19 and he appeared in the dock for sentencing at the same court on March 16.

He was fined a total of £1,000 and ordered to pay £180 costs and a £200 surcharge.

The bench issued a 14-day driving disqualification.
