A WOMAN was spat at in the face twice by a man who made lewd comments to her in a Bournemouth hotel.

Police have now released a CCTV image following the assault which took place at around 5.20am on Sunday, March 6, in the Durley Dean Hotel in West Cliff Road.

It is understood that the woman was talking to a friend when a group of men walked into the hotel looking for the bar.

It is reported that one of the men made lewd comments to the victim before spitting in her face twice.

Police Community Support Officer Steph Garner, of Bournemouth police, said: “This was an understandably unpleasant incident for the victim. I have obtained a CCTV image of the suspect and efforts to identify him have so far not been successful.

“I would urge anyone who knows who he is to please contact Dorset Police.”
