A WOMAN suffered an eye injury after a stone or brick was thrown through her car windscreen by a dog walker.

Dorset Police received a report at around 6.30pm on Sunday, March 20, of an incident in Undercliff Drive in Boscombe.

It was reported that the victim was driving her car along the road when she came across a woman walking her dog in the middle of the road. The driver sounded her horn, causing the dog walker to move aside and the victim then continued up the road toward a turning place, before coming back in the opposite direction.

As she came back past the woman with the dog, a stone or brick was thrown at the windscreen of the car, causing it to smash. The woman then walked off from the scene.

The victim suffered an injury to her eye that is not believed to be serious.

Officers investigating the incident have issued an image of a woman they would like to identify.
