A heath fire broke out on Canford Heath on Saturday evening.
Fire crews from Poole, Blandford, Wimborne, Christchurch plus a water carrier and pumping appliance from Hampshire were called to the blaze on Canford Heath in Poole around 5.50pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival an area of approximately 150m x 20m was well alight.
"Firefighters extinguished the fire using one mainline, one hose reel jet and water from the Ringwood water carrier."

The fire service also issued a warning to visitors and residents over the risk of heath fires as we approach summer.
"As summer approaches and the weather is getting warmer please be aware of the risk of fire spread in outdoor areas", the spokesperson added.
