A MAN has been jailed for several months after assaulting two men in Bournemouth.
Harry Paul Redmond-Smith, aged 23, was accused of assaulting a man thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm at the BH2 complex in Exeter Road on June 11, 2019.
He was separately charged with the same offence relating to a second man in the town on the same date.
Redmond-Smith, whose address was given as Burleigh Road, Bournemouth, previously pleaded not guilty to both offences back in 2020.
However, he changed his pleas to guilty and appeared for sentencing in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 14.
The defendant was committed to prison for 16 weeks, with the offences considered serious because it was an “unjustified assault” on members of the public and significant injury was caused.
Redmond-Smith was also ordered to pay £200 compensation to each victim.
