THE Castlepoint warehouse that has become home to a huge number of Ukraine donations has been temporarily closed.
The Help from Bournemouth to Ukraine organisation have announced on Facebook the warehouse will be closed while steps are taken on health and safety, risk assessments and additional training.
The organisers wrote on Facebook: “Please allow us some time to prepare paperwork for everyone and we will continue our hard work and we will save more lives.
“Thank you for your patience.”
The group has assured people that the operation is ongoing, with all shipments to Ukraine and Poland to go ahead as planned.
A statement on Castlepoint’s Facebook page added: “We are taking a short break from the Ukraine Donation Centre.
“We ask that no donations are currently left.”
