BOURNEMOUTH'S Arts by the Sea festival is calling for artists to create large-scale festival spectaculars.
The festival is an annual celebration of Bournemouth’s art, culture, people and place, and this year there are more opportunities for Dorset artists to share their creativity.
The event, which runs from September 30 to October 2, has opened applications for artists to deliver both the opening night spectacle on Bournemouth’s town hall and the carnival closing parade.
Applicants have been asked to create a projection mapping spectacle for the opening night and a large-scale carnival closing parade, both keeping with the festival’s central theme (to be announced).
Previous artists who have showcased their work at this festival include Avanti (Hydromania), The Colour Project (Silicon Shores), Illuminos (Hotel d’Illusions) and NOVAK (Kindred).
The final deadline for Stage One applications is Monday, March 28.
