PEOPLE with a “passion” for Ringwood are being sought to help at the returning visitor information service in the town centre.

Ringwood Town Council is looking for volunteers to help run its information centre based in the Gateway building after the service had a “two-year break” following Covid.

The service is run on Saturdays from Easter to mid-September. Hours are flexible and can be tailored to meet availability within the opening hours of 10am to 4pm.

Ringwood mayor Cllr Tony Ring said: “Following a two-year break, I am delighted that the Visitor Information service will once again be operating throughout the holiday season. The success of the service is in no small part down to the enthusiastic team of volunteers who work alongside our employees to share their local knowledge with visitors to the town.”

If you are interested in volunteering, contact deputy town clerk Jo Hurd on 01425 484721 or by calling Ringwood Gateway on 0300 555 1392.
