A MAN was assaulted by two people and had his phone stolen while walking towards Kings Park.
Police are investigating the robbery and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
At around 8pm on Friday, March 11, the victim, a man aged in his 40s and from London, was walking over the bridge on Southbourne Road toward Kings Park when he was assaulted by two males who were on bicycles. He did not see the offenders.
The victim’s mobile phone was stolen during the incident.
Police Constable Jack Cornick, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the relevant time and witnessed what happened to please contact Dorset Police.
“I would also ask local residents or motorists to please check their home CCTV or dashcam footage and get in touch if they have captured anything of relevance.”
