AN ARREST has been made following a report of a man shouting at a dog before punching it in the head.
At 9.55am on Friday, February 18, Dorset Police received a report that a man was seen shouting at a black and white Staffy-type dog in Wimborne Road in Kinson.
He was reportedly then seen to strike the dog twice to the head with a closed fist.
Following enquiries by officers and an image appeal, a 31-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty.
He has been released under investigation as officers carry out further enquiries.
