IMPROVEMENTS are being planned at a popular East Dorset pub.
The Fox and Hounds at Canford Bottom is asking to update its outside area, including adding a new pergola, landscaping, seating and lighting, and extending the existing bar cabin. The refurbishment of the indoor bar and interior public areas is also planned.
An application for the work at the grade 2 listed building has been submitted by Greene King to Dorset Council for approval.
Among the detailed plans are proposals for a large external fireplace with log storage areas and an external cooking area.
The full details of the application, reference no 2022/00926, can be seen on the Dorset Council website with comments on the changes available until March 18.
