A TELEVISED appeal has been made after a man armed with a handgun threatened a shop worker before making off with cash at a Dorset Co-op.

Enquiries remain ongoing into a robbery that was reported at the Co-op store in Beaufoy Close, Shaftesbury, at 1.36pm on Wednesday June 30 last year.

A man in possession of a handgun approached the till and demanded money from the shop worker before leaving the store with a quantity of cash.

Detectives from Weymouth CID have carried out a detailed investigation into the incident and they are continuing to explore every line of enquiry available.

As part of this, an appeal was broadcast as part of Crimewatch Live on BBC One on Tuesday March 8, which included images of a man police are still trying to identify.
