A MAN was caught travelling at nearly 30mph above the limit, landing him with a hefty fine.
Bunja Kanteh was clocked speeding on the Dorset Way on June 3, 2021.
He pleaded guilty to exceeding the 50mph limit and was sentenced in his absence at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 3.
Court papers state the 42-year-old, of Waterford Place, Christchurch, drove a BMW on the Dorset Way, Poole, at 79mph, exceeding the 50mph limit.
Magistrates fined him a £382 for the offence and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £38.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and had his driving record endorsed with six points.
It meant Kanteh will have to the courts a total of £505.
