EXCITED youngsters brought their favourite book characters to life for World Book Day yesterday.
Pupils all over Dorset swapped their school uniforms for fancy dress.
Harry Potter, Stickman, Alice in Wonderland, Where’s Wally, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Little Red Riding Hood and Gangsta Granny were among some of the most popular outfits.
World Book Day is held in March each year and is a registered charity with the mission to give every child and young person a book of their own.
This year is extra special as it is the 25 years since World Book Day was first marked in the UK and Ireland.
The Daily Echo invited readers to share photos of their children celebrating World Book Day and we received dozens of pictures.
See a selection of images in our two-page picture special in the Daily Echo on Saturday.
