A MAN has avoided a ban after he was convicted of driving without due care and attention on a Bournemouth roundabout.
Thomas Benjamin Simpkins, aged 25, was alleged to have committed the offence when he was at the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo on the Richmond Hill roundabout on March 11, 2020.
The case against Simpkins was proved in his absence at a Weymouth Magistrates' Court hearing on November 22 last year.
Appearing in the dock at the same court on February 22, the defendant was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £120 costs.
Simpkins, whose address was given as Albert Road, Poole, had his driving record endorsed with eight points.
