A TOWN council which fell foul of the rules over meeting in person has returned to "business as usual".
Legal advice is still being sought over the situation at Wimborne Minster Town Council after it came to light the authority had not met in person at least once every six months.
Members of the town council attended an in-person meeting at the town hall in early February to approve its budget and council tax precept following recommendations from an "informal" virtual meeting, which took place the previous month.
Neil Wedge, chief executive of the Dorset Association of Town and Parish Councils, an organisation which has worked with Dorset Council and Wimborne Minster Town Council, told the Daily Echo: "Wimborne Minster Town Council has returned to business as usual with councillors resuming participation in meetings.
"This has been supported by the monitoring officer for Dorset Council whilst advice is sought from legal counsel."
