BOMB experts were called to a Dorset town following the discovery of a suspected ordnance.
Road closures were put in place while emergency services respond to the incident in Blandford on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 1.
Bryanston Street, Eagle House Gardens and Park Lands were all shut off by police officers, with a cordon in place for public safety.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Road closures have been put in place in Bryanston Street, Eagle House Gardens and Park Lands in Blandford following the discovery of suspected ordnance in the area and residents in the vicinity are being asked to remain indoors.
"A cordon has been put in place for the safety of members of the public as an EOD team attends the location to assess the item.
"We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the cordon is in place."
The road closures were lifted around 6.45pm.
