A FAMILY has paid tribute to a "devoted, loving and loyal" man who died following a crash in Poole.

Chris Lynch was involved in the collision near to the junction of Station Road and Church Road in Ashley Cross at around 5.30pm on Sunday, February 13. 

The 32-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries and he was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. He died on Wednesday, February 16.

Paying tribute to Chris, who was from Southampton, his family said: “Chris’ tragic death has left an irreparable hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He was a devoted, loving and loyal father, husband, son, brother and friend.

“He had a passion for the outdoors and lived a life full of adventure. Chris never put less than 100 per cent into every aspect of his life, his family, friends, hobbies and career.

“He was a hero to his young children Kitty and Arthur and soulmate to his wife Ellie. We miss him terribly.”

Enquiries by police officers indicate the collision involved a silver Land Rover Freelander and a grey Nissan Pulsar.

A 41-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A 79-year-old man from Poole is also assisting with enquiries and attended for a voluntary police interview.
