Motorists have been warned of delays of more than an hour on the A338.
Traffic is queueing on the main dual carriageway out of Bournemouth towards Ashley Heath.
Dorset Police say there are no reported incidents.

Traffic is queueing for three miles to Ashley Heath.
There are also delays on the A31 with one lane blocked between Picket Post and Stoney Cross due to an incident. There are delays eastbound from Ringwood.
