THE demolition of a pub building in Poole has been completed ahead of a major housing development.

The Sloop in Commercial Road has been flattened over the past few weeks, with Wimborne based Three Cross Demolition carrying out the work.

As reported, AJ Developments received planning approval from BCP Council to build a block of 74 flats on the site despite concerns from residents over the removal of a "heritage asset".

Diggers remain on the site, opposite the Civic Centre, carrying out ground work.
