"A COLD blast of polar air will bring widespread rain, hail, sleet and snow showers to the county."
That's what one weather enthusiast, Dorset Snow, has predicted for Dorset today.
Although "nothing out of the ordinary" for this time of year, the cold snap will see temperatures drop to a cool 2C in some parts of Dorset - though it could feel more like -3C.
Dorset Snow has put out a 'wintry watch' ahead of the chilly conditions.
They said: "As always northern parts of the county with high ground have the highest chance of seeing snow.
"The cold air then clears later on Thursday evening."

Colder, more unstable air will spread from the north west on Thursday morning.

The Met Office is yet to release any weather warnings for the south coast and Dorset Snow noted that a 'wintry watch' is not a warning equivalent.
