The Music of The Moody Blues is an opportunity for fans to experience this timeless music live.

Gordy Marshall toured and recorded with The Moody Blues for twenty-five years. Together with Mick Wilson (lead singer of 10CC for twenty years) they present a super-group to recreate the elegance of a Moody Blues concert.

In this show, all the classic hits are celebrated, including Nights in White Satin, Go Now, Tuesday Afternoon, Legend of a Mind (Timothy Leary’s Dead), I Know You’re Out There Somewhere, Question, Isn’t Life Strange plus Forever Autumn and a show-stealing rendition of Eve of the War from Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds.

Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour at The Lighthouse, Poole

The Banff Mountain Film Festival joins the world’s best adventure film-makers and explorers as they push themselves to the limits in the most remote and stunning corners of the globe.

Witness epic human-powered feats, life-affirming challenges and mind-blowing cinematography –all on the big screen.

Tickets: £16.50, £14.50 for under 18s and students.

Wild Tribes at Hengistbury Head

Experience a touch of the wild and get reconnected with nature on the last Sunday of each month at Hengistbury Head's new discovery den.

These sessions are very much catered for families that like to spend time outdoors, but are looking for ways in which to further connect your tribe to nature. As well as playing wild, the event will be exploring this wildlife-rich nature reserve, looking at it's natural history, taking part in citizen science research, using tools and natures treasures to craft keepsakes, and on occasions a camp fire.

As always the undertone of these sessions have wildlife conservation and the health benefits to us that come with spending time in nature at its heart. 

Tickets: £7.50 per child, adults go free - teas, coffee and hot chocolate is also provided and booking is recommended.

Milonga la Cultural at The Ocean View Hotel in Bournemouth

The Tango Fandango Academy's fortnightly ‘Milonga La Cultural’ is taking place on Saturday evening.

There will be a class from 7.30pm to 8.30pm with dancing until 11.00pm.

It is described as a great opportunity to come and dance and socialise with your friends!

Guests are asked to bring their own refreshments as there is no bar. There is however plenty of free car parking on site or on the roads all around the hotel.

Prices:  members £8 and non members £10

Big Band Birthday Bash at The Regent Centre, Christchurch

  • When? 2.30pm, Sunday, February 27

To celebrate the Regent Centre's 90th birthday it is hosting a "BIG BAND BIRTHDAY BASH" on Sunday, February 27.

The well-known New Forest Big Band will entertain with their usual flair playing numbers from their extensive repertoire with their vocalist Angela Jackson, interspersed with local singers who have entertained you over the years.

All profits from the afternoon will be used to upgrade the stage area, dressing rooms and studio.
