UPDATE: Michelle was found on Tuesday evening.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "She was found on Tuesday 22 February 2022 as a result of the media appeal and is receiving the appropriate care. Her family has been updated."


POLICE are searching for a woman who has gone missing from Bournemouth and are appealing for information from the public to help find her.

Michelle Mitchell, 59, was reported missing to Dorset Police at 3.38pm on Tuesday, February 22. She was last seen in Pinewood Avenue at 10am.

She is described as white, five feet six inches tall, of large build and with shoulder length ginger hair. She was wearing blue jeans, a blue zipped up hooded top and turquoise Sketchers shoes.

Chief Inspector Glen Doran, of Dorset Police, said: “We are very concerned for Michelle and it is really important that we find her to check she is OK.

“I am appealing to anyone who has seen Michelle, or a woman matching the description given, to please contact Dorset Police.

“I am also making a direct plea to Michelle if you see this appeal to please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are, as we just want to ensure you are safe.”
