CCTV has been released of a man police would like to identify following an assault during an event at the BIC.
A man in his 20s was grabbed by the neck from behind following an exchange with a man who was sat nearby during a performance.
The incident happened as the victim went to leave the Main Hall at around 9.45pm on Saturday, December 11.
Security staff intervened and the man left the premises.
Police said the victim did not sustain any injuries that required hospital treatment.
Images of a man police are keen to identify have just been released.
Police Community Support Investigator Mike Cannings, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and have obtained CCTV images of a man we are keen to identify as part of our enquiries.
“Our efforts to identify him have so far been unsuccessful and I am now appealing to the public and urging anyone with information as to his identity to please get in touch.”
