A MAN arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after another man died in a hotel room in Bournemouth has been released under investigation as officers continue to make inquiries.

As reported, Dorset Police were called to the Laguna Hotel in Suffolk Road at 7.36pm on Friday after receiving a report relating to the death of a man aged in his 40s in a room at the hotel.

Officers attended the address and, following enquiries, a local man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and supplying class A drugs.

Police have since revealed the man who died was from Bournemouth.

An investigation is still ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the death and a cordon was put in place as enquiries were carried out at the scene. The man’s next of kin were informed and the coroner was notified.

A police spokesperson said: “There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area and officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
