TRAFFIC cops reported several vehicle collisions in the BCP region on Saturday which caused some injuries.
Officers from the Dorset Police Traffic Unit dealt with head on collisions and pedestrian incidents around Poole and Bournemouth on Saturday, February 19.
Firstly, in Poole, a pedestrian was struck by a turning vehicle and was caught between the vehicle and a gate post. Police reported there were no serious injuries following this.
Shortly after, officers attended a crash in Winton after drivers of a Skoda and Ford Focus were involved in a head on collision.
A police spokesperson said: “Slight injuries here and a hard lesson learnt by one driver following a positive breath test after some drinking. They spent some time with us and will continue to assist in our [inquiries].
Returning to Poole and the rider of an E-scooter suffered injuries after colliding with a car.
Officers, however, found the scooter was not being used as part of an approved trial. Because riding E-scooters outside of approved trials is illegal, police said the rider would also “be helping in our [inquiries]”.
